The removable bridge plug is a downhole sealing or ash squeezing tool used in oil fields, which can be used in conjunction with other downhole tools for temporary sealing, selective sealing, etc. Widely used in construction such as oil testing, well repair, testing, and oil and gas reservoir renovation, it is a safe, reliable, low-cost, and fully functional downhole sealing tool.
Structure and working principle
The bridge plug mainly consists of a sealing mechanism, anchoring mechanism, sealing mechanism, etc. Adopting a unique self-locking structure, it has a reliable bidirectional pressure bearing function and can achieve reliable sealing without the need for an overlying ash surface.
Working principle: Connect the removable bridge plug to the lower end of the hydraulic delivery tool (cable sealing tool), lower the bridge plug to the design depth, use a pump truck to press (ignite) into the pipe column, pull (shear) the tension rod (ring) of the bridge plug, seal the bridge plug, and the delivery tool lifts the pipe column out of the wellbore. When needed, special bridge plug salvage tools can be used to remove the bridge plug from the well. After replacing vulnerable parts, it can still be reused.
